A Sizzling Earth Day

There were many events in the Southland to celebrate Earth Day. I attended two of them, one in Pasadena, and one in the center of town. It was a very long day.

Here is a video of a work of art that I enjoyed at the museum. Of course it is modeled after the melodramatic artwork of the 1950s that accompanied genre fiction. It is very exaggerated, and always features a well-groomed woman in tears, always in a moment of crisis.

I enjoyed my trip, although at the end of the day I was very sunburnt. I should have brought a hat.
